U.S. REP. Scott Tipton has persuaded the Air Force to dump its plan to perform low-altitude flights over Southeastern Colorado. The plan stirred anger among the many ranchers in the region, which the Air Force wanted to use for flights that could go as low as 200 feet with V-22 Ospreys and other special operations aircraft.
