Tipton Celebrates the 2020 Capitol Christmas Tree Coming from Colorado’s Third Congressional District
Delta, Colorado – Today, the U.S. Forest Service announced the 2020 Capitol Christmas Tree will be provided from the Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre and Gunnison National Forests. Congressman Scott Tipton (CO-03), the representative for the area the forests that the tree will come from made the following statement:
“I am incredibly excited to welcome next year’s Capitol Christmas Tree to Washington. The Christmas season is a special time in Washington as the city adorns itself in beautiful lights, wreaths and other holiday decorations. The People’s Tree selected from one of the most naturally beautiful places in the country, will be enjoyed by thousands of people who visit next year. I look forward to seeing the tree from Colorado’s Third Congressional District on the west lawn of the Capitol Building again.”
This year marks the second time is eight years that the Capitol Tree has come from Colorado’s Third Congressional District. In 2012, a tree from the White River National Forest was selected.
