Tipton Encourages Coloradans to Shop Small this Small Business Saturday
WASHINGTON D.C. — Congressman Scott Tipton (CO-03) is encouraging Coloradans to participate in Small Business Saturday, which falls on November 25, 2017. As a former small business owner and Co-Chairman of the Congressional Small Business Caucus, Tipton is dedicated to emphasizing the importance of small businesses and all that they contribute to the nation’s success. Small Business Saturday is a day for Americans to head out into their communities and support locally owned small businesses.
“Small businesses are one of the strongest pillars of our economy,” said Tipton. “In Colorado, small businesses support forty nine percent of our workforce, making our support absolutely vital. That’s why I will be out on Saturday shopping small, and I hope you will be too.”
Tipton is a cosponsor of the Congressional resolution (H. Res. 603) recognizing Saturday, November 25, 2017 as Small Business Saturday.
“As a former small business owner, I am all too familiar with the barriers that hinder the success of our small businesses,” said Tipton. “For that reason, I also remain committed to reducing the federal regulations and reforming our nation’s broken tax code, so that small businesses can once again thrive.”
