WASHINGTON – Rep. Scott Tipton (CO-03), member of the House Natural Resources Committee, released this statement after Department of the Interior (DOI) Secretary Ken Salazar announced his decision, in a memo to Bureau of Land Management Director Bob Abbey, to not implement DOI’s Wild Lands policy.
Today, Rep. Scott Tipton (R-CO) was joined by Reps. Mike Coffman (R-CO) and Joe Walsh (R-IL) in announcing that they are gathering signatures from fellow members of the House for a letter they plan to send to President Obama later this week. The letter urges the President to retract comments about Israel’s borders made during a speech about Middle East issues last week. The President suggested that Israel revert to the territory it held prior to 1967.
